How to submit an Academic Withdrawal

Instructors may withdraw a student whose class absence has reached a point where it is impossible for the student to successfully pass the course. 

Step 1: Login to the the Bruin Portal and locate the Faculty tab

Step 2: Click on the Etrieve Forms image at the top of the screen

Step 3: Select Forms from the left and choose RG-Instructor Administrative withdrawal

Step 4: Using the dropdown menu, select the; Term, Course Section, and select the Student from the list

Information is pulled directly from Colleague, this will only show your course/students

Select the term, course, and student image

Step 5:  Please give the last date of attendance and the Explanation of the Withdrawal reasoning why want them withdrawn from the course.

Step 6: Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page, you will also receive and email confirmation

Step 7: View the status/history of your submitted forms
